Proceeding from the research development trends in the world and in Estonia, the need for upgrading the already existing research infrastructures as well as the initiatives for setting up new research infrastructures will be mapped.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etag.ee\/en\/funding\/infrastructure-funding\/estonian-research-infrastructures-roadmap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">roadmap<\/a> is a long term (10-20 years) planning instrument that lists research infrastructures of national importance, either new or in need of upgrading. The roadmap will be updated regularly (at an interval of 3 to 5 years) to take into account the changing circumstances and opportunities.
